Adjustment Disorder Definition

Adjustment Disorder: A disorder defined by the development of significant emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to a stressful event or series of events within the normal range of human experience. (Gayle, 2008)

Adjustment Disorder: Stress Related mental disorder. A short term disorder After a taxing life experience, Problems dealing with the stressor that last at least 6 months, The inability to cope a response that is tougher than anticipated when the stress event transpired. Some of the symptoms are stress, sad or helpless feelings, depression and physical symptoms.

Defiant or impulsive behavior, acting nervous or the state of being tense, crying feeling sad, withdrawal, Physical symptoms trembling, or irregular heartbeat.
